Named after legendary head coach, Don Coryell, the Aztec Club and San Diego State Athletics relaunched The Coryell Legacy in November 2014. This program plays a vital role in the future financial stability of San Diego State Athletics and helps provide the necessary resources to compete at the highest level.
As of June 2017, over $4.5 million has been added to the Coryell Legacy Endowment, Coach Fisher Basketball Endowment, and all athletics endowments. Currently, Aztec Athletics carries 39 named athletic endowments supporting 550 student-athletes. With a current scholarship bill over $9 million, student-athletes remain the top priority for San Diego State. An endowed gift provides SDSU with a perpetual source of income, allowing the Aztecs to recruit, develop, and retain elite student-athletes and coaches. Nothing is more important in attracting the best student-athletes than access to financial aid. The Coryell Legacy allows you to create a permanent endowment to support the educational and athletic experience of SDSU student-athletes for years to come.
The SDSU gift planning professionals are always available to share more detailed information about SDSU Athletics gift planning and provide you and your advisors with personalized examples and illustrations. Conversations with the University's gift planning team are confidential and never imply any obligation.
