Donations to the Aztec Club have an immediate effect on an SDSU student-athlete, allowing them to maximize their potential both in the classroom and in competition.

With over 500 student-athletes, and more than $5million in annual athletic scholarship expenses, continued growth in the Aztec Club is the NUMBER ONE priority at San Diego State!

Following is a breakdown of estimated educational expenses at SDSU for the 2010-2011 academic year:

  • $400 provides books for one semester
  • $2,603 provides tuition and fees for one semester
  • $5,785 provides room and board for one semester
  • $17,176 provides an in-state, full scholarship for an academic year
  • $28,336 provides an out-of-state full scholarship for an academic year

Aztec Athletics Points of Pride

  • SDSU won 11 MWC Titles in 2012-13, the next highest school has won 5

  • Across 7 colleges, student-athletes are majoring in 67 different programs at SDSU

  • SDSU student-athletes have a 73% Graduation Success Rate (NCAA Measure)

  • 5 teams posted record GPA's suring Fall 2012 including: Football, Swimming, W. Soccer, Baseball and W. Golf

  • Over 298 student-athletes were recognized as scholar athletes this year up from 268 last year. (Scholar Athlete = 3.2 term or 3.0 cumulative GPA)

  • 92 student-athletes received MWC All-Academic Honors (3.0 cumulative GPA) during the 2012 calendar year

  • Since 2012, SDSU student-athletes contributed 906 hours of community service, in which we were awarded the MWC Community Service Award
