Andy Humes was hired as San Diego State's Associate Athletic Director of Compliance in March 2015. In his role, Humes oversees and manages the day-to-day activities of the compliance office. He also serves as sport supervisor for women's soccer and softball.
Prior to his arrival at SDSU, Humes worked at his alma mater Indiana University for seven years as Director of Compliance. While at Indiana, Humes also branched out into the academic realm, serving as an adjunct professor of graduate level courses in NCAA compliance as well as legal issues in the sports industry. In addition, he taught business law classes at a local community college.
After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana in 2002, Humes completed his Juris Doctor at the University, graduating cum laude in 2005. He then spent three years as an associate in business litigation for Ice Miller, LLP in Indianapolis.
Humes is a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) and currently serves on the organization's Convention Committee. He currently lives in San Diego.
