Went eight innings in his initial start vs. West Virginia (Feb. 22) allowing a run on four hits with seven strikeouts, but was not involved in the decision as SDSU won in 10 innings ... Longest outing came on April 4 vs. Air Force when he tossed 8.1 innings allowing a run on three hits with a walk and 15 strikeouts ... His strikeout total in that contest was a career high and helped earn him Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week honors from Collegiate Baseball ... Suffered from lack of run support for a stretch toward the end of the season ... Prior to his outing at Fresno State on May 15 the Aztecs had only scored 10 runs for him in his previous five contests with six of those coming in one game ... He went 1-3 in those contests ... Went 5.1 innings at Fresno State on May 15 allowing two runs on three hits with seven walks and seven strikeouts as he improved to 7-3 ... His 3.08 earned run average ranked seventh in the Mountain West entering the Regionals and his 3.13 ERA in league play was sixth-best in the conference ... Ranked second in the league in strikeouts in all games with 100 and was second in conference contests with 63.
