Began his SDSU career as a catcher and became the Aztecs’ closer in 2015 … Is expected to return behind the plate for the 2016 season, but could also see occasional relief duty on the mound … Played for the Kenosha (Wis.) Kingfish in the Northwoods League during summer 2014 … Competed briefly for the Wareham Gatemen in the Cape Cod Collegiate League during the summer of 2013 … Played 2012 summer ball for San Gabriel Valley Arsenal … Member of the Arsenal team that advanced to the quarterfinals for the World Wood Bat Association World (WWBA) Championships in October 2011 … Competed in the 2011 Perfect Game All-American Classic … Drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 33rd round in June 2012.
