FULLERTON, Calif. - In a game that went back and forth, San Diego State had the final say as it defeated No. 7/11 Cal State Fullerton, 5-4, Wednesday evening at Goodwin Field. With the win, the Aztecs improved to 3-2 on the season while Fullerton saw its recorded drop to 2-2.

SDSU opened the scoring in the top of the first as Alan Trejo doubled, advanced to second on a ground out by Andrew Brown and scored on a wild pitch.

After The Titans scored twice in their half of the third to take a 2-1 lead, San Diego State regained the advantage with a pair of runs in the top of the fifth. Those came when David Hensley led off with a double and Brown drove him home with a single to left to tie the contest at 2-2.

Brown advance to third when Danny Sheehan reached first on a Fullerton fielding error and he scored when Titan pitcher Brett Conine made a wild throw to first on an attempted pickoff of Sheehan.
