COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M scored three eighth-inning runs to break a 1-1 deadlock and propel it to a 4-2 win over San Diego State Sunday afternoon at Blue Bell Park in College Station. By completing the weekend sweep of the Aztecs, the Aggies improved to 37-14 while SDSU's record fell to 22-30.

San Diego State took the lead in the game, its first of the series, with a run in the top of the fifth. Evan Potter led off with a single and stole second base, advancing to third when the catcher's throw sailed into center field when nobody covered the bag. Potter then scored on Tim Zier's grounder to second to give the visitors the 1-0 advantage.

SDSU starting pitcher Ryan Doran, meanwhile, shut out the Aggies on just two hits over the first six frames before surrendering the tying run in the bottom of the seventh. Matt Juengel led off with a walk and went to second on Doran's balk. Jacob House then singled to right to drive home Juengel and make it a 1-1 contest.

In the next inning, Texas A&M got a one-out single by Krey Bratsen. An ensuing fly ball for the second out ended Doran's day as he was lifted in favor of sophomore reliever Philip Walby. Walby promptly walked Scott Arthur on four pitches before hitting Tyler Naquin to load the bases.

At that point Aztec junior Ethan Miller came in from the bullpen and gave up a double down the left field line to Juengel that cleared the bases and gave the Aggies a 4-1 lead. That hit made a loser of Doran, who saw his record fall to 3-5. Aggie reliever Estevan Uriegas was the beneficiary of his team's rally as he would get the win to move his record to 4-0.

San Diego State got a run back in the top of the ninth as Greg Allen singled with one out and was able to advance to second on defensive indifference. Jomel Torres singled to right to bring home Allan, but Aggie closer Kyle Martin then got a double play to end the game and record his fifth save of the year.

Chris Wilson ended the afternoon with three hits with Allan notching a pair of singles as the Aztecs out-hit Texas A&M 10-5 in the contest.

San Diego State now returns home to play its 2012 season home finale against Loyola Marymount on Tuesday, May 15, at 6:00 p.m. at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
