Attended Sacramento High and averaged 23.2 points while leading his team to the Northern California state finals and a 27-7 overall record during his senior year... He finished the season ranked 39th in scoring in the state, according to, and was the Division III Player of the Year... Was also selected to the all-state second team and the first team... As a junior, he led Sacramento to its first-ever CIF Division III state finals appearance in 2007-08 after helping the Dragons to their first CIF Northern California Regional Championship... In the state title game, he went for 35 points, nine rebounds and four steals en route to averaging 22.2 points, 4.8 assists and 4.6 steals for the season... He comes from a basketball family as his father played college basketball at Arkansas State.
