Head Coach Steve Fisher:
On The Game:
"It was a great win for the Aztecs. I am proud of the way we competed tonight. We played with a lot of determination."

On Team Scoring:
"If we are going to win, we need more options. I thought Trimaine Davis was great and Tyler Smith was sensational. He made two or three crucial threes that really helped us."

"It's good to get a win -- any win. We played a team a lot like us tonight. They were scrapping and fighting."

SDSU Player Quotes:
Trimaine Davis

On the game:
"I found out a little before tipoff I was going to be starting tonight. Normally my role is to provide energy for the team. I am ready for anything, whether it's two or 20 minutes of playing time. I am just going to go out there and play hard every night.

"I was playing for (Chris) Walton tonight so I hope wherever he is, he's feeling better and I hope enjoyed the effort we put out tonight."

Marcus Slaughter
On teammates Davis and Smith:
"Tonight's performance with Trimaine and Tyler is something we know they can perform every night. Trimaine always brings energy to the team and you would never know that Tyler was a freshman with his play, especially hitting those threes. I am really happy for those two."

Tyler Smith
On the game:
"I felt more comfortable out there loosening up and was able to hit more shots than I was earlier in the season."

Brigham Young Head Coach Steve Cleveland:
On the getting off to a good start:
"The first 20 minutes they made all of the energy and hustle plays. We were hanging in there but that wasn't the kind of effort needed to win on the road in the first 20 minutes. But we put ourselves in position at the end of the game, we were where we wanted to be, down two with a possession to go. But free throws and a turnover or two led to our demise."

"It's hard to win on the road when two guys play well. To win on the road you need four or five guys to play well."

On the inside game:
"It's tough when you have your bigs in foul trouble. With Derek Dawes in foul trouble -- we needed him at the end of the game. Keena Young has been a great rebounder for us but tonight just wasn't his night with only one rebound. They outworked us on the boards. They probably got 14 or 15 point off of their offensive rebounds."

On San Diego State's Smith and Davis
"We just didnt' guard Tyler Smith. He is a good shooter, when you don't guard him he's even better. Every shot he had he was wide open. He was the guy who hurt us."

"Davis and Matt Thomas also hurt us with penetration."
