PHOENIX (AP) DeWayne Russell had 21 points, nine assists and four rebounds and Grand Canyon beat San Diego State 76-72 in a frantic finish on Wednesday night.

Trailing 74-72 with 10 seconds left, San Diego State's Jeremy Hemsley attempted to split a double team but Fiifi Aidoo stole the ball for a layup and the game's final margin.
