Team Notes

• San Diego State wins its 28th straight vs. teams from California, which is the longest active streak nationally and is the longest such streak since 1996-97.

• SDSU wins its 21st straight game in the month of December. That entered today as the third-longest streak in the country.

• The Aztecs win their eighth straight game overall and seventh straight home contest.

• San Diego State wins its 31st straight regular-season game vs. unranked non-conference foes and improves to 51-1 in its last 52 home games vs. unranked teams.

• San Diego State has won 28 straight home games during the month of December.

• The 8-1 start is tied for the second-best start in Division I history (1970-71). This is the sixth time SDSU has won eight of its first nine games.

• This is the Aztecs' best start to a season since 2010-11 when that team opened with an unblemished 9-0 record after nine games.

• San Diego State has won 20 straight games when leading at the half. Under Steve Fisher, the Aztecs are 200-40 when owning a lead after 20 minutes.

• San Diego State has won 78 straight games when leading with five minutes to play.

• For the sixth time this season, San Diego State won a game in which it did not trail in the second half.

• SDSU was 16-for-19 (84.2 percent) from the free-throw line. In their last four games, the Aztecs are 59-for-71 (83.1 percent).

Led the team in rebounding for the eighth time this season (26th career).

• Reached double figures for the third time in four games, the fourth time this season and the eighth time in his career... He had four double-digit scoring games in his first 37 career games and now has four in his last six games... Made all five of his field goal attempts on the evening.
