No. 24 Aztecs Edge Wyoming in Overtime, 67-58
Jamaal Franklin scored the first five points of overtime and finished with 12 overall as No. 24 San Diego State beat Wyoming 67-58 on Wednesday night to snap a three-game losing streak.

No. 15/14 San Diego State (14-3; 2-1 Mountain West) continues a brutal stretch of four games in three states in 11 days against teams that are a collective 54-14 on Saturday, when the Aztecs travel to Laramie, to face Wyoming (14-2; 1-2 MW). Game time is set for 5:30 p.m. MT (4:30 p.m. PT) and the contest will be televised by Time Warner Cable SportsNet with radio coverage on AM 600 KOGO and 101 KGB.

The Aztecs are looking to rebound from just their third loss of the season, an 82-75 setback to No. rv/23 UNLV at Viejas Arena on Wednesday night. The Aztecs trailed by as many as 10 points in the second half, rallied to take a lead and were tied with the Rebels with 3:30 to play, but made just one of their final five shots and surrendered three offensive rebounds down the stretch to suffer just their second loss to the Rebels in the last eight meetings.

Junior guard Jamaal Franklin continued his outstanding play with a game-high 27 points and a team-high seven rebounds. It marked a career-high third-consecutive 20-point scoring game for the All-America candidate. Freshman forward Winston Shepard came off the bench to add a career-high 18 points and five assists in 24 minutes of action.

San Diego State travels to Wyoming looking for a school-record third-straight win at Arena-Auditorium. The Aztecs were victorious at the venue in each of the past two seasons, winning 85-58 in 2011, and 52-42 in 2012. The Cowboys are 14-2 this season, including 9-1 at home. In fact, Wyoming owns a 27-5 record at home since Feb. 12, 2011, with two of those five losses coming to San Diego State (the other defeats are to New Mexico and Air Force in 2012, and Boise State in 2013).

San Diego State enters the game having won 13 consecutive games against teams not nationally ranked in either of the top-25 polls at game time. That is tied for the seventh-longest active streak nationally entering Thursday's games (Kansas leads the nation at 25). SDSU is a remarkable 21-5 in the game immediately following its last 26 regular-season defeats, including victories in 10 of the last 12 occurrences.
