LAS VEGAS - The San Diego State men's basketball duo of Xavier Thames and Josh Davis landed on the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 17 team, the NABC announced Wednesday. Thames was voted to the first team, while Davis was a second-team performer.

This is the sixth straight season in which SDSU has had a first-team honoree and had multiple players recognized. Thames and Davis are also the 29th and 30th players in school history to receive the postseason award.

Thames, the Mountain West Player of the Year, led SDSU in scoring (16.9), assists (3.0), steals (1.8), three-point shooting (.386) and free-throw shooting (.829) for an Aztec team that won the MW regular-season title outright.

Davis, meanwhile, led the Aztecs in rebounding (9.9) and averaged 8.0 points. The senior from Raleigh, N.C., also recorded a team-high eight double-doubles and was recently named to the all-MW third team.

San Diego State returns to action on Thursday when it faces either Utah State or Colorado State at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Game time is set for noon PT on CBS Sports Network.
