#AztecMBB to Face New Mexico State in NCAA Tourney

The No. 8/7 San Diego State men's basketball team earned an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament on Sunday. The Aztecs (29-4, 16-2 MW), who won the Mountain West regular season title, received a No. 4 seed in the West Region and will face 13th-seeded New Mexico State in Spokane, Wash., on Thursday, March 20. The game is set for approximately 6:57 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live by truTV.

It is SDSU's school-record fifth consecutive NCAA tournament appearance.

The Aggies come into the tournament with a 26-9 overall record after finishing 12-4 in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). The winner will face the victor of the No. 5 Oklahoma (23-9, 12-6 Big 12)-No. 12 North Dakota State (25-6, 12-2 Summit) game on Saturday, March 22.

San Diego State will be making its 10th Division I NCAA tournament appearance and seventh under head coach Steve Fisher. This year's NCAA tournament appearance also marks the ninth straight postseason berth for the Aztecs and 11th under Fisher.

Current 2013-14 men's basketball season ticket holders have until Monday, March 17 at 11 a.m. PT to advance order tickets online. SDSU students may order one ticket with their current Red ID at the Viejas Arena box office on Monday, March 17 from 10 a.m. to noon PT.
