SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's basketball program is the newest member of the Jordan Brand family. The team, along with all 19 SDSU athletic programs has been primarily outfitted by Nike since 2006, will wear the latest Jordan Brand performance footwear and all on-court apparel including uniforms, practice gear and travel attire will be Jumpman branded.

SDSU is the eighth men's basketball team in the Jordan lineup, joining Florida, Georgetown, Houston, Marquette, Michigan, North Carolina and Oklahoma. The Aztecs are the only program on the western half of the country to be partnered with the iconic brand.

The apparel will feature San Diego State's official color scheme of red and black elements and will sync with Jordan Brand's iconic colors.

On Sunday, each member of the men's basketball team received a pair of Air Jordan X Retros in summit white and black with university red trim to welcome them into the family.

Jordan Brand San Diego State men's basketball t-shirts are currently available for purchase at the SDSU Bookstore on campus.

San Diego State's affiliation with Jordan Brand follows in the footsteps of former Aztec and current San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard, who exclusively wears the Jumpman logo. Leonard played on Montezuma Mesa in 2009-10 and 2010-11, helping SDSU win three Mountain West titles (2010 tournament, 2011 regular season and tournament) and reach the NCAA tournament twice, including the program's 2011 run to the Sweet 16.

This past season, the Aztecs made their seventh NCAA tournament appearance in the last nine years and their 12th postseason berth in the last 13 seasons. SDSU finished the 2017-18 campaign with a 22-11 record and won the Mountain West tournament crown, its conference-leading 11th league championship.

SDSU won nine of its final 10 games of the campaign and is expected to return starters Jalen McDaniels, Matt Mitchell and Devin Watson as well as significant contributors Jeremy Hemsley, Jordan Schakel and Nolan Narain for the 2018-19 campaign.
