San Diego State released its 2010 Mountain West Conference men's basketball schedule on Monday. The Aztecs, who won a school-record 26 games a year ago, will have 15 of their league contests televised by either VERSUS, CBS College Sports or The Mtn.

Mountain West action will commence for SDSU on Tuesday, Jan. 5, with a home date vs. 2009 regular season tri-league champion New Mexico, a match-up that is slated for a 7:30 p.m. PT tip on The Mtn.

After opening at home, the Aztecs embark on a two-game road swing that will take them to Wyoming and UNLV. The tilt vs. the Cowboys is set for Saturday, Jan. 9, at 4 p.m. MT and will be televised by The Mtn. The game vs. the Runnin' Rebels, meanwhile, is scheduled for CBS College Sports with the day (Jan. 12 or 13) and time still to be determined.

The next seven dates on the schedule will feature a home-and-away feel starting with TCU visiting Viejas Arena for a Saturday (Jan. 16) night contest at 7 p.m. PT. The evening trend will continue with an 8 p.m. MT game at MWC regular-season tri-champion and MWC Tournament champ Utah (Tue., Jan. 19) and a 7 p.m. PT Saturday (Jan. 23) home game vs. tri-league champion Brigham Young. All three games are to be televised by The Mtn.

An afternoon game is next on the schedule for San Diego State as it travels to Fort Collins, Colo., to take on Colorado State. The Aztecs will be in search of their fifth straight win inside Moby Arena when the two squads tip off at 4 p.m. MT (The Mtn.).

SDSU will close out the first half of league play at home vs. Air Force on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at a time to be determined. There is currently no television scheduled for this date.

The Aztecs begin the second round of league play at New Mexico on Feb. 6 with a game slated to start at 4 p.m. MT on The Mtn., before returning to Viejas Arena for a two-game homestand.

Wyoming will make its annual visit to Montezuma Mesa as the Cowboys and Aztecs are set to tangle on The Mtn., on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m. PT. Three days later on Feb. 13, SDSU plays host to UNLV for a Saturday matinee, which will tip at 1 p.m. PT on VERSUS.

A 7 p.m. CT road game at TCU is next up for San Diego State (Feb. 16) on The Mtn., just prior to welcoming Utah to Viejas Arena on Saturday, Feb. 20 (6 p.m. PT). The date with the Utes will appear on The Mtn.

The Aztecs will make its second appearance on CBS College Sports when they take on Brigham Young in Provo. Similar to the UNLV game in Las Vegas, the game date and time are still to be announced. The only certainty is that the contest will take place on either Feb. 23 or 24.

Following two consecutive games against the Beehive State schools, SDSU challenge a pair of Colorado institutions in Colorado State and Air Force. The Aztecs play host to the Rams on Wednesday, March 3, at 7:30 p.m. PT and then finish the regular season vs. the Falcons inside Clune Arena on March 6 at 7 p.m. MT. Both games are to be televised by The Mtn.

For the fourth consecutive season, the MWC Championships will be held in Las Vegas at the Thomas & Mack Center. The men's first-round game is set for Wednesday, March 10, with the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals scheduled for March 11, 12 and 13, respectively.

San Diego State will release its non-conference schedule once it is finalized.

The Aztecs are coming off a 2008-09 season in which they won a school-record 26 games and advanced to the postseason NIT semifinals at Madison Square Garden in New York City. SDSU has won 20 or more games and advanced to the postseason four straight seasons and returns two-time all-conference performer Billy White, two-year starter D.J. Gay, sophomore Tim Shelton and a top-15 recruiting class.

San Diego State 2009-10 season tickets start at $99 for reserved chair-back seats and are available now. Season tickets can be purchased online at GoAztecs.com or by calling the Aztec Ticket Office at (619) 283-7378.
