Now in her fifth year working with San Diego State Athletics, Patsy Armstrong serves as the football administration specialist.
In her role, Armstrong provides executive-level administrative leadership and professional support for head football coach Rocky Long and his staff. She is also responsible for the daily internal operations and serves as the team liaison for student-athletes, human resources, development, marketing and NFL personnel. Armstrong oversees the analytical and evaluation aspects of recruiting and operational needs. She manages social media efforts, supervises the football student interns, and manages community engagements for Long and student-athletes.
Prior to returning to the athletics department, Armstrong worked on campus in the student life and leadership office in the Division of Student Affairs as a student life advisor for seven years.
Armstrong is a 2003 graduate of UC Santa Barbara and received her master's degree from San Diego State in 2008. She currently lives in San Diego with her son, Anthony. She is also an active member of Women Leaders in College Sports and Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA).
