Dakota Turner Career Stats
Physical, athletic body, who made the move from linebacker to defensive line in the spring of 2014 ... Worked up to the backup spot at right defensive end after spring drills, where he remained over the 2014 season and in 2015 ... Then moved to fullback in the 2016 fall camp, where he started the first three games, before moving back to defensive line at South Alabama ... Was listed as the starting right defensive end heading into the 2017 campaign, but suffered severe damage to his knee in the fall scrimmage on Aug. 19 ... Returned to play Sept. 30 vs. Northern Illinois despite being thought lost for the season.

Was named the team’s Defensive Lineman of the Year ... Missed the first four games of the season - vs. UC Davis, at Arizona State, vs. No. 19/19 Stanford and at Air Force - with a knee injury, suffered at the team’s fall scrimmage on Aug. 19 ...
