Excellent athlete who runs well and has given the Aztecs much needed depth on the defensive line ... Is in his fifth year in the program and the senior has played in 25 games and made 12 starts in his first three seasons on the field ... Sat out the spring season with an injury, but is expected to start at the right defensive end spot in the fall ... Made the move to defensive tackle midway through last year after playing defensive end his first two seasons (2011-12), but is now back at one of the end spots.

2013: Played in all 13 games with seven straight starts to close the season ... Had 26 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a pass breakup ... vs. Eastern Illinois (Aug. 31) ... Made one tackle in a reserve role in the opener vs. Eastern Illinois ... at No. 3/2 Ohio State (Sept. 7) ... 2012: Slated as the starter at defensive end and made the start in each of the first four games of the season ... Left the squad for approximately three weeks for personal reasons ... Although he returned to the team, he did not play following the game against San José State (Sept. 22) ... Made his second career start in the season opener ... Logged three assisted tackles ... All three tackles came on running plays with two of the stops resulting in one yard gains ... Recorded three tackles for the second consecutive week ... Started the game and had two unassisted tackles to go along with an assisted tackle ... Had a stop in each of the final three quarters of the game ... Once again earned the start and had two unassisted stops ... Recorded his first tackle of the season on a pass play that resulted in a one-yard gain ... Credited with a solo tackle on a running play that resulted in no gain ... Made his fourth consecutive start of the season.

2011: Made 13 tackles (10 solo) ... Had two tackles for a loss for 7 yards and recorded a 6-yard sack ... Had his first tackle in his first collegiate game vs. Cal Poly, coming off the bench ... Traveled, but did not play at Army ... Second action of the season came against TCU, posting his second career tackle ... Had a career-high five tackles at Air Force, and added two tackles for a loss (his first of his career) and his first sack ... Had two stops vs. Wyoming ... Recorded two tackles vs. New Mexico ... Logged action at Colorado State ... Had two stops in another start vs. Boise State before leaving with an injury ... Missed the final three games (at UNLV, vs. Fresno State and vs. Louisiana-Lafayette) with an injured back.
