Consistent snapper who has seen action in all 26 games since 2012 ... Is listed as the starting long snapper once again after spring drills ... Grades out high on production, durability, snapping speed-accuracy ratio, snapping consistency, blocking and coverage, and intangibles ... Laces out spiral on placekick snaps ... Blocks and covers in both the pro style and spread punt formations ... Has been perfect over his career in snap attempts, going 97-for-97 in PAT's, 30-for-30 in field goal attempts and 105-for-105 in punts ... Also has two career tackles ... Is the football team's representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
2013: Saw action in all 13 games for the second straight season ... Completed all 118 long snaps (57 punts, 45 PAT's and 16 field goals) ... Made eight pressure end zone punt snaps, including two each vs. Eastern Illinois and No. 3/2 Ohio State, and against Oregon State, San José State, UNLV, and Buffalo in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl ... Quality snaps helped kicker Wes Feer and punter Joel Alesi each earn MW Special Teams Player-of-the-Week accolades ... Also helped Alesi make the Ray Guy Award Watch List, which is handed out to the nation's top punter ... Had one tackle in 13 opportunities as opponents returned only 13 punts on the year.
2012: One of three true freshmen (Dan Kottman, Seamus McMorrow) to log playing time in 2012 and was the only true freshman to play in all 13 contests ... Joined McMorrow as true freshmen who logged snaps on special teams ... Was perfect in 114 snaps (48 punts, 52 PAT's and 14 field goals) ... Made pressure end zone punt snaps in the Hawai'i, Fresno State and Brigham Young games ... Made a pressure 36-yard field goal snap vs Nevada in Reno to send the game into overtime, which the Aztecs eventually won ... Added one tackle on the year.
High school: Four-year letterwinner at Service High School, where he led the Cougars to a pair of state championships ... Earned a Scouts, Inc. grade of 69 ... A student of Instructor Chris Rubio - like SDSU/NFL long snappers Aaron Brewer and Tyler Schmitt ... Was a five-star recruit and ranked third in the 2012 class by Rubio Long Snapping ... Gained exposure out of Alaska by winning two consecutive Nike National Las Vegas Spring Events with the best accuracy-to-speed ratio ... Made ESPN's high school all-Alaska team ... Two-year captain, who also logged time as an offensive tackle and defensive end ... Was a two-year all-state pick as a left tackle and long snapper ... Was a two-year selection to the all-Alaska Tanoa Bowl Team, which played against Washington and Oregon ... Also participated in the Fire and Ice Bowl in Hawaii ... Also lettered in hockey and track & field ... A scholar-athlete.
