Worked into the two-deep as a true freshman heading into the Fresno State game as the backup to Trey Lomax at one of the two Warrior spots, where he remained for three contests before having surgery on a leg for compartment syndrome late after the Hawai`i game on Oct. 18 ... Missed the final six games with that injury ... Played in six games, making one tackle and blocking a punt ... Was one of eight true freshmen to see action ... Also saw time on special teams, mainly as a kick returner, where he returned five kicks for 131 yards (26.2 avg.) ... The 26.2 average led the team, while his long of 56 yards was second ... Did not play in the opener vs. Northern Arizona ... Came off the bench in his first collegiate appearance at No. 21/23 North Carolina, but did not record a stat ... Logged his first career tackle on special teams at Oregon State ... Played again against UNLV, blocking a punt, SDSU's lone blocked punt of the season ... Logged time on special teams at Fresno State, where he returned a kick 56 yards, the longest by an Aztec this season ... Played again at New Mexico and had a 13-yard kick return ... Logged time again against Hawai`i, returning a kick for 25 yards ... Was taken out late in the game with a leg injury ...
