Last Saturday at the Reese’s Senior Bowl, Penny was named the co-most outstanding player for the South team in a 45-16 victory over the North squad after totaling 152 all-purpose yards on just 11 touches. Penny finished with 64 rushing yards on nine carries (7.1 avg.), a 73-yard touchdown catch and a 15-yard kick return.
SDSU finished 2017 with a 10-3 record, its school-record third consecutive year with at least 10 victories. San Diego State is scheduled to return seven starters on offense and seven on defense, along with its kicker and punter. The Aztecs kick off the 2018 campaign Aug. 31 at Stanford.
