Football to Play Three Games on Friday in 2014

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -
The San Diego State football team will now play three Friday night games, the Mountain West announced today. All three games will be broadcast nationally.
The Aztecs will play at Fresno State on Friday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. PT on CBS Sports Network in a game that was originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4.
SDSU will also play at New Mexico the following Friday (Oct. 10) at 7:30 p.m. MT on ESPNU. That contest was initially slated for Saturday, Oct. 11.
San Diego State will wrap up its Friday slate at home against Air Force on Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m. PT on CBS Sports Network in a game that was originally set for Saturday, Nov. 22.
The three Friday night games for the Aztecs are tied with Fresno State for the most in the conference. SDSU also joins Air Force with the most games slated for CBS Sports Network.
Additional broadcasts by CBS Sports Network, ESPN networks, ROOT SPORTS and the Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders will be announced in the coming weeks. The rest of the San Diego State game times will also be announced at a later date.
It is anticipated that the remaining MW-controlled games in the 2014 schedule will be played on Saturdays.
The Aztecs are coming off an 8-5 year (6-2 Mountain West) in 2013, which culminated in a 49-24 victory over Buffalo in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Dec. 21. It was SDSU's school-record fourth consecutive bowl game appearance.
San Diego State begins the 2014 season on Aug. 30 at home against Northern Arizona.
