SAN DIEGO - San Diego State Director of Athletics Jim Sterk announced Monday that the Aztec football team has added two home games to complete its non-conference schedule for the 2014 campaign. SDSU will play Big Sky Conference foe Northern Arizona in its season-opener on Aug. 30 to go along with a clash against Idaho on Nov. 8.

In addition, SDSU's 2014 non-conference slate includes road dates at North Carolina (Sept. 6) and Oregon State (Sept. 20). The Aztecs will also battle eight Mountain West opponents next year, with Air Force, Hawai`i, San José State and UNLV paying a visit to Qualcomm Stadium, while SDSU travels to Boise State, Fresno State, Nevada and New Mexico.

The Aztecs have faced Northern Arizona on the gridiron only twice before, claiming both games of a home-and-home series during the 1965 and 1966 campaigns. SDSU registered a 20-0 shutout over the Lumberjacks in Flagstaff, before emerging with a 16-8 Homecoming victory the following year in San Diego.

Northern Arizona enters the week with a 5-2 overall record and is currently tied for third in the Big Sky with a 3-1 mark after posting back-to-back wins over Sacramento State (39-38) on the road and Idaho State (39-30) at home.

Meanwhile, SDSU is 2-2 against Idaho in four all-time meetings, with each side successfully defending its home turf. In In the two most recent games between the schools, the Aztecs came away with a 45-17 triumph at Qualcomm Stadium in 2008, while the Vandals turned the tables the following season in 2009 with a 34-20 victory over the Scarlet and Black at the Kibbie Dome in Moscow.

Idaho, which will join the Sun Belt Conference as a football-only member in 2014, is 1-6 thus far in its final year as an independent, having defeated Temple, 26-24, at home on Sept. 28.

San Diego State (3-3, 2-0 MW) returns to action this Saturday with a Homecoming clash against No.15/18 Fresno State at Qualcomm Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT, with ESPN2 providing live television coverage.
