TORONTO – San Diego State men’s soccer alumnus and Toronto FC Steven Beitashour captured the 2017 MLS Cup after defeating the Seattle Sounders 2-0 on Dec. 9. Beitashour was a member of the San Diego State men’s soccer team from 2006-2009.

Since being drafted 30th overall in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft, Beitashour has registered seven years of MLS experience. Beitashour started his career with the San Jose Earthquakes from 2010-2013, before moving north of the border with Vancouver Whitecaps FC (2014-15) and Toronto FC (2016-17). The San Jose native has recorded two goals and 30 assists in 192 MLS games.
