Men's Soccer's Villon Named All-Far West Region

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - San Diego State men's soccer senior midfielder Abraham Villon (Garden Grove, Calif.) was named to the 2013 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division I Men's All-Far West Region third team, the association announced on Monday.
Villon is the first Aztec to earn the honor since Daniel Steres in 2011.
An all-Pac-12 second-team selection in both 2013 and 2011, Villon was the Aztecs' second-leading scorer this season with 19 points on six goals and a team-high seven assists. He finished third in the Pac-12 in points, assists and assists per match (0.39), while ranking fourth in points per match (1.06).
The senior was tied for 45th in the nation in assists and tied for 48th in assists per match. The Garden Grove, Calif., native recorded at least one point in 11 matches this season, scoring two goals against Florida International on Sept. 1, and tallying two assists in a tie to Stanford on Oct. 13.
