SDSU Men's Tennis Swept by No. 15 Texas Tech, 7-0

FRESNO, Calif. - The San Diego State men's tennis team dropped each of their six singles matches and two of their doubles contests as No. 15 Texas Tech swept SDSU, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon in Fresno, Calif.
The Aztecs' lone victory on the day was at No. 3 doubles, as Flores Pulgar and Hunter Nicolas defeated David Gonzalez and Raphael Pfister, 8-5. Meanwhile, at the No. 1 and 2 positions, Texas Tech completed the sweep with consecutive wins.
In singles play, the Red Raiders won each of their six matches in two sets with No. 20 Gonzalo Escobar leading the way at No. 1 singles with a 6-2, 6-0 victory against Javier Pulgar. Raony Carvalho continued Texas Tech's success by defeating Giovanni Vaglietti 6-1, 6-0 at the second position. No. 3 singles was closer, but Andre Feliz eventually lost to Rafael Garcia, 6-3, 7-5.
SDSU returns to the courts today at 2 p.m. when it faces No. 52 UC Irvine at the Aztec Tennis Center.
