SDSU Men's Tennis Set For Two-Match Homestand
April 5, 2012
SAN DIEGO - The No. 58 San Diego State men's tennis team is set for a two-match Mountain West homestand as it faces off with No. 55 New Mexico and TCU this weekend. The Aztecs will battle the Lobos at 2 p.m. PT on Friday and then play the Horned Frogs at 11 a.m. PT on Sunday. Both conference tilts will be held at the Aztec Tennis Center.
SDSU (11-6, 1-1 in MW play) will be looking to get back in the win column after suffering consecutive losses to No. 54 Denver and No. 37 Boise State last week.
New Mexico, meanwhile, is 14-5 and 1-0 in league play and recently defeated Northern Arizona, 6-1, last Friday. San Diego State holds a 16-13 advantage in the all-time series. The Aztecs dropped a 6-1 decision when the teams faced off last April in Albuquerque.
TCU, on the other hand, is 5-11 and just dropped a 4-3 decision to No. 42 Rice on Sunday. SDSU is 3-6 all-time vs. TCU and suffered a 5-2 setback when it played the Horned Frogs last March in Fort Worth.
After its matchup with New Mexico and TCU, San Diego State will play host to UNLV on Saturday, April 14. The MW tilt is scheduled for 11 a.m. PT at the Aztec Tennis Center.
