SDSU Women's Basketball Returns Home To Finish Out Non-Conference Campaign

-The Records: The San Diego State women's basketball team opens 2004 and rounds out its non-conference schedule by playing host to two games this week, beginning with Santa Clara on Tuesday. SDSU returns to Cox Arena after a three-game road swing and is a full week removed from its last action of 2003, a 57-49 loss to Brown at the Lady Blazer Invitational in Birmingham, Ala.
Santa Clara has dropped each of its last six games, including last Saturday at UT-San Antonio, 59-47. The Broncos are 3-9 overall this year with victories over Pacific (60-59), Sacramento State (79-69) and Nevada (60-53), which also fell to the Aztecs (67-52) back on Nov. 24.
-SDSU Head Coach Jim Tomey: Tomey (Michigan '81) is in his second season at San Diego State after taking over the Aztec helm on April 9, 2002. His career and Aztec head coaching record is 13-25.
-SCU Head Coach Michelle Bento: Bento is in her second season with the Broncos and boasts a school and career record of 23-20.
