SDSU Women's Basketball Goes For Sixth-Straight Win Saturday vs. Wyoming
Jan. 8, 2010
After cruising to a 22-point win at New Mexico on Wednesday, the San Diego State women's basketball team will look for its sixth-straight victory overall and its seventh consecutive in regular-season league play, when the Wyoming Cowgirls come to Viejas Arena Saturday afternoon for a 2 p.m. PT tip-off.
The Aztecs, who were picked to win the 2010 conference title, opened their league schedule by dominating a poor shooting New Mexico squad in Albuquerque on Wednesday evening, 61-39. The victory was SDSU's second consecutive at The Pit and third in a row over the Lobos.
Wyoming, meanwhile, is 10-3 on the season and is playing its first two league contests of 2010 on the road, having defeated rival Colorado State in Ft. Collins on Tuesday, 64-61. The Cowgirls are the last opponent to beat SDSU in league action on Feb. 15, 2009, (64-61) in Laramie, while they are also the last team to hand the Aztecs a MWC loss in San Diego on Feb. 20, 2008. SDSU has won 10-straight league contests on its home floor entering Saturday's outing.
The game with the Cowgirls will feature a live audio call by Chris Ello, while live stats and a live video feed will also be available on the Aztecs' official website, goaztecs.com.
