San Diego State Looks To End Its Non-Conference Schedule On A High Note
San Diego State (5-6) finishes its two-game road trip and its regular season non-conference schedule with a Saturday afternoon meeting with Sacramento State. The Aztecs will look to get back on the winning side, having lost in the final seconds at Portland State Thursday.

Sacramento State, meanwhile, is 2-10 this season with both wins coming against NAIA teams. The Hornets were 0-27 a year ago, including a 51-72 loss to the Aztecs in San Diego in the two schools' only previous meeting.

-The Records: SDSU (5-6) will look to rebound from a heart-breaking loss to Portland State Thursday with a victory over Sacramento State in the Aztecs' final non-conference game of the regular season. San Diego State, which is still in search of its first win in an opponent's arena, takes on Sacramento State for the second straight season. The Hornets (2-10) have yet to beat an NCAA Division I opponent since the 2000-01 campaign.

In The RPI: In the eighth RPI rankings released by the WBCA through games of January 8, SDSU moved to 213, while Portland State is No. 318. The Aztecs are No. 209 (College Basketball News) and No. 208 (Collegerpi.com), respectively, in the other major RPIs.
