The San Diego State women's basketball team closes out its brief two-game homestand when it entertains Mountain West newcomer Nevada at Viejas Arena on Wednesday, Jan. 23. Opening tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT.The Aztecs have emerged triumphant in their last three outings to maintain a share of first place in the MW standings and will match their longest winning streak of the season with a victory against the Wolf Pack, who were picked eighth in the league's preseason coaches poll.

-SDSU Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the eighth year of her second stint as head coach at San Diego State. She led the Aztecs for eight seasons from 1989 to 1997, before returning in 2005. She has an overall head coaching record of 361-249 in 21 seasons, and she is 280-184 in her 16 campaigns at SDSU.
-Nevada Head Coach Jane Albright: Albright (Appalachian State, 1977) is in her fifth year at the helm of the Wolf Pack and sports a 70-74 record at the school and a 467-386 overall mark in her 29-year career. Prior to her appointment in Reno, Albright served as head coach at Northern Illinois (1984-94), Wisconsin (1994-2003) and Wichita State (2003-2008).
-Series History: Nevada and SDSU are meeting for the first time as conference rivals this season. Nevada prevailed by a 63-61 count the last time the two teams met in 2010 to even the series at three games apiece.
-Up Next: SDSU hits the road on Saturday, Jan. 26 for a clash with New Mexico at The Pit in Albuquerque, N.M. The Aztecs will then have a week off before playing host to Air Force on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Viejas Arena.
