-The Records: The San Diego women's basketball team closes out the first round of Mountain West Conference play this week as it faces its second consecutive ranked opponent in No. 18/17 New Mexico on Wednesday, before heading home to play host to Wyoming on Saturday. The Aztecs will be looking for an upset to earn their first conference victory of the season, as SDSU enters the two-game stint with a 3-13 mark and an 0-6 record in league action. New Mexico is 14-4 overall and 4-1 in the MWC, while Wyoming is 12-4 and 2-3 with a Wednesday night game with rival Colorado State still left to play before heading to San Diego.

-San Diego State Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the first year of her second stint as head coach at San Diego State. She coached the Aztecs from 1989 to 1997 and has a school record of 154-96 in nine seasons. Her 14-year head coaching record stands at 235-161.

-New Mexico Head Coach Don Flanagan: Flanagan is in his 11th year as head coach of the Lobos and owns a school and career record of 231-98.

-New Mexico Series History: New Mexico leads the series 17-13 and is 8-5 in games played in Albuquerque (Last: New Mexico def. SDSU, 81-52, in Denver, Colo., on March 9, 2005).

-Wyoming Head Coach Joe Legerski: Legerski is in his third year at Wyoming and has a school and career record of 39-34.

-Wyoming Series History: Wyoming leads the series 14-13, however, SDSU owns an 8-5 advantage in games played in San Diego (Last: Wyoming def. SDSU, 69-66, in San Diego, Calif., on Feb. 17, 2005).
