Aztec Basketball Ends MWC Play With Two Road Games Starting Wednesday
The San Diego State women's basketball team heads into the final week of the Mountain West Conference regular season with a lot still on the line. While the Aztecs have already secured their best finish in league play in 12 years, the conference regular season title is still within their reach, as they trail first place Utah by just a game in the loss column.

SDSU has two road outings to end 2009 MWC action, starting Wednesday in Ft. Collins, Colo., against the Colorado State Rams at 7 p.m. MT at Moby Arena. The Aztecs won the first meeting between the two foes on a thrilling rebound basket at the buzzer with the team's smallest margin of victory this season (62-61).

San Diego State, which enters the contest at CSU with the league's best overall record at 20-6, is on a three-game win streak, including a hard-fought 68-63 victory over TCU on Saturday for second-place in the conference standings. The win against the Lady Frogs helped propel the Aztecs to the league's top RPI and also helped SDSU receive a vote in the Associated Press top 25 poll for the fifth time this season.

This week is expected to be a wild one in the Mountain West Conference with multiple seeds for next week's conference championships, slated for March 10-14 in Las Vegas, Nev., still up for grabs.

The 36th all-time meeting between the Aztecs and Rams on Wednesday will feature a live audio call with Chris Ello, as well as live stats, on
