Aug. 9, 2010
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Former San Diego State basketball standout and two-time honorable mention All-American Jené Morris returns to Southern California for the first and only time this season, as her Indiana Fever take on the L.A. Sparks in Los Angeles, Calif., on Tuesday evening. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. PT and will be televised on ESPN2.
Morris became the Aztecs' first-ever WNBA Draft pick this past April, going in the first round, 11th overall, to the Indiana Fever. Morris is also the first SDSU player to log minutes in a WNBA contest, as she has appeared in 20 games overall with a season-high 14 points at Seattle and 12 points in a recent win against Chicago.
The Fever currently hold a half game lead over Atlanta in the Eastern Conference standings with only six outings left in the regular season.
