SAN DIEGO - Just four days before its 2006-07 season-opener, the San Diego State women's basketball team will conclude its two-game exhibition slate Saturday at 2 p.m. against Love and Basketball at Cox Arena. Admission to the game is only $3.

The Aztecs are coming off a 100-57 victory in their first exhibition Tuesday versus the Arizona Venom and have split their pair of preseason outings in six of the last seven seasons, with the lone exception being in 2004, when the team had just one exhibition contest.

Love and Basketball, a squad of former college players, is also finishing out its competition schedule and is 5-4 overall. The visitor's boast victories over The Master's College, Cal State Northridge, UCLA, St. Mary's and most recently against UC Irvine on Wednesday. Love & Basketball has also played Arizona State (L, 72-46), Stanford (L, 84-78), Cal (L81-63) and Long Beach State (L, 66-63 ot). The team's 11-player roster includes former Aztec center Mary Apiafi, who played on The Mesa from 1998-2000.

Live stats will be available for Saturday's game. All regular-season SDSU women's basketball contests will have live audio and video (home games only) on the internet free of charge via the school's official website, www.goaztecs.com.

The Aztecs officially begin the 2006-07 season on Tuesday, Nov. 14, when the University of Nevada comes to Cox Arena for a 7 p.m. game.
