SDSU Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the seventh year of her second stint as head coach at San Diego State. She led the Aztecs for eight seasons from 1989 to 1997, before returning in 2005. She has an overall head coaching record of 326-237 in 20 seasons, while she is 245-172 in her 15 campaigns at SDSU.

Hawai'i Head Coach Dana Takahara-Dias: Takahara-Dias is in her third year at the helm of the Rainbow Wahine and has compiled an overall record of 22-40 entering this afternoon's game.

Series History: SDSU last played Hawai'i at the Marriott Beach Classic at the Stan Sheriff Center. The Aztecs won that game, 74-28, on Nov. 28, 2008, and own a slight edge in the all-time series between the two schools at 13-12. Hawai'i, however, has won four of the last five meetings overall.

-San Diego State won't even be 24 hours removed from its stunning 82-74 upset victory over No. 18/18 DePaul on Friday evening, when they play host Hawai'i on Saturday at 2 p.m. HT/4 p.m. PT.

-The Aztecs defeated their sixth top-25 squad over the last four seasons with the win over the Blue Demons. SDSU last defeated a ranked squad in March of 2010, when they knocked off then No. 10 West Virginia to advance to the NCAA Sweet 16.

-San Diego State has scored over 80 points in back-to-back outings for the first time since scoring 85 in consecutive wins over Montana State and Loyola Marymont in December 2008. . The team did not surpass the 80-point barrier all of last season and that streak dates back to a 87-52 win over Air Force on March 6, 2010.

-After trying only one free-throw attempt in the first half vs. DePaul, SDSU tried 29 in the second half, posting a free-throw percentage for the game of 80.0. The Aztecs are now shooting 84.9 percent at the stripe, after only making 62.8 percent a year ago to rank 308th nationally. In the win over DePaul, SDSU made each of its first 12 attempts.

-Against DePaul, SDSU used a 47-38 advantage in the rebounding department. The Aztecs have now had over 47 rebounds in both outings, a figure they only reached five times in 2010-11.

-With a win over Hawai'i, the Aztecs can start a season at 3-0 for the second time in the last three years and the third time in the last five campaigns. n Aztec junior Courtney Clements has back-to-back 20-point scoring efforts, becoming the first Aztec to accomplish that feat since Jené Morris had a four-game streak in March 2010.
