Aztec Basketball Looks For A Win In Final 2009 Paradise Jam Game
Nov. 28, 2009
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas - The No. 23/24 San Diego State women's basketball team will look to get back on track on Saturday, as it takes on it's only non-ranked opponent of the tournament, South Carolina, at 10 a.m. PT in the final game of the 2009 Paradise Jam in St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The Aztecs have dropped back-to-back outings to two of the nation's top teams in No. 5/6 Notre Dame, 84-79, on Thursday and No. 20/17 Oklahoma, 87-48, on Friday. SDSU has never faced South Carolina before this season and has not dropped three games in a row since the 2007-08 campaign.
San Diego State senior Jené Morris needs just two more points to reach the 1,000 mark in her career at SDSU. Morris, who spent her freshman year at Cal, has 998 points and could become only the 17th Aztec to reach that milestone and the first since Jamey Cox in 2002-03.
SDSU's final game will feature a live audio feed with Chris Ello, while a live pay-per-view video feed through Fox College Sports Broadband Network and live stats will also be available via links on goaztecs.com.
