SDSU Places Fourth; Wilson Second At Mountain View Collegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. - San Diego State's Jenna Wilson placed second and Heather MacRae finished seventh to lead the Aztecs to a fourth place finish at the Mountain View Collegiate on Sunday. SDSU shot 311 in the final 18-holes to finish at 42-over 906. The University of Denver earned the win at 894. Wilson shot one-over 217, while MacRae fired a five-over 221.
Wilson placed in the top two for the third time this season, as she also won the Lady Aztec Invitational and finished second at the Heather Farr Memorial. She shot a two-over 74 on Sunday after opening up with 72 and 71, respectively. It was the best finish for Wilson this spring, who has four top-20 finishes in her first year on the Mesa.
MacRae also shot 74 on Sunday starting the day at 147. It was MacRae's fourth top-10 finish in the Aztecs last six tournaments, and she leads SDSU by finishing in the top-20 five times on the year.
Shayna Miyajima placed 46th after shooting 232, including a 79 on Sunday. Megan Malhaupt fired a 242 and Sandy Kim played two rounds in her first tournament action since the fall, shooting 75 and 84, respectively.
The Aztecs will play in their last tournament before the MWC Championships next week, April 5-6, at the BYU-Utah Dixie Classic in St. George, Utah.
