The No. 45 San Diego State women's golf squad swapped spots in the team standings with No. 46 Oklahoma State, moving into 11th place by a single stroke with its second round 15-over 303 Saturday at the PING/Arizona State Invitational in Tempe, Ariz. The Aztecs trail 10th place Oregon State by just four strokes with a 36-hole total of 27-over 603 at the par-72, 6,230-yard Karsten Golf Course.

Sophomore Christine Wong (Richmond, B.C.) continued to be SDSU's top golfer, moving from 18th into a tie for 16th, despite following her even-par effort Friday with a 73 in the second round. Wong started off on a high note with a birdie on her first hole and would add two more before making the turn. She had a pair of bogeys and seven pars to finish the round and push her two-day total to 1-over 145.

Classmate Gina Clark (Murrieta, Calif.) was also at 1-under par through the first nine holes, but then ended with four bogeys on her final six to card her second consecutive 75 and jump just slightly from 41st into 39th with a 6-over 150. Stephanie Arcala (Oceanside, Calif.) had the team's biggest improvement with her 3-over 75, highlighted by three consecutive birdies, to vault 12 spots into 61st place with a 153.

Aztec senior Samantha Roberts (Carlsbad, Calif.) and junior Malin Enarsson (Gothenburg, Sweden) each finished with rounds in the 80s to drop into 78th and 79th place, respectively. Sophomore Alessia Knight (Bologna, Italy), who is playing as an individual, jumped over the pair with her 7-over 79 for a 36-hole total of 12-over 156.

Top-ranked USC erased a five-stroke deficit to move into a tie for first place with No. 1 UCLA at 11-under 565. Bruin Stephanie Kono and Texas' Madison Pressel also moved up the individual leaderboard to tie for first place at 5-under 139.

Sunday's third and final round begins for San Diego State at 8:50 a.m. PT from the 10th tee.
