ST. GEORGE, Utah - San Diego State is in third place after two rounds of the BYU Dixie Classic after shooting 297 and 314, respectively, for a 26-over par total of 611. No. 21 UNLV leads the 13 team field at 587, while San Francisco is just nine strokes ahead of SDSU heading into Tuesday's final round. Junior Heather MacRae led SDSU and sits in second place at two-over par 146, four strokes behind the leader. The Aztecs, ranked No. 43 in the latest Golfweek listings, are seeking their third straight top-five finish.

MacRae opened up with a one-under par 71 in the morning before shooting 75 in the second round of the day. MacRae has placed in the top 10 in each of her last two events, including placing second, her best finish of the year, at the Thompson Invitational. She already leads SDSU with four top-10 finishes this season, and has placed in the top-20 five times.

Freshman Jenna Wilson led SDSU in the first round with a two-under 70, but posted an 80 in the second round to fall back to eighth place at six-over 150. Wilson recorded four birdies and an eagle in her morning round, but could only manage two birdies in the afternoon. Wilson is coming off a runner-up finish at the Mountain View Collegiate last week.

Senior Shayna Miyajima fired rounds of 75 and 79 and sits in 17th at 10-over 154. Megan Malhaupt recorded SDSU's final two scores of the day by shooting 81 and 80, respectively.

The Dixie Classic will conclude with the final 18-holes on Tuesday.
