OTTAWA, Ontario - San Diego State Lacrosse head coach Kylee White has been named to the Canadian roster for the 2013 Women's Lacrosse World Cup, which will be held July 10-20 in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. This is the first time the event will be held in Canada.

White has played in the IFWLA World Cup for her native country three previous times. In 2001 and 2005 she helped Canada take fourth place. In 2009, she led the Canadians to their first bronze medal in 27 years. In the 2005 tournament, White ranked in the top five for caused turnovers per game, and was nominated for the All-World team.

A native of London, Ontario, Canada, White played on the inaugural U-19 Canadian National team, leading the squad to a fourth-place finish at the First World Championship. The second-year Aztecs coach was also an assistant coach for Canada's U-19 team that finished fourth in the 2007 World Championships.

Team Canada began the selection process last summer, as players trained and competed at the Oshawa Civic Field, which will be the home of the 2013 World Cup. In October, a group of 25 players were selected to compete at the US Lacrosse's Stars and Stripes tournament, held at Stanford University. The final roster has since been narrowed down to 18.

Canada is currently ranked No. 3 in the world after claiming the bronze medal in the 2009.
