WOODLAND, Calif. - San Diego State women's lacrosse senior Meris Walsh (Easton, Md.) was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Offensive Player of the Week, while junior Grace Korandovich (Columbus, Ohio) earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday.

Walsh scored six total goals in two conference road victories over the weekend, helping the Aztecs get off to a program-best 4-0 start to the season. The senior scored three goals in each game, while adding an assist, as she leads SDSU in goals (11). The Easton, Md., native has scored at least two goals in every game this season, and has recorded three separate hat tricks.

Korandovich was clutch in the Aztecs' 14-11 overtime win at California on Friday, scoring the game-winning goal in the program's first victory over the Golden Bears. The junior midfielder scored two goals in overtime to finish with four for the game, along with two draw controls and a caused turnover. The Columbus, Ohio native did it all in the Aztecs' 20-9 victory at Saint Mary's on Sunday, finishing with three caused turnovers, four draw controls, a goal and an assist.

In addition, Korandovich leads the team in caused turnovers (8), is second in draw controls (10), and tied for third on the squad with seven goals and nine points. Meanwhile, Walsh is one of only eight SDSU players to record an assist this season, and her three caused turnovers is tied for fourth-most on the team.

San Diego State (4-0, 2-0 MPSF) plays host to No. 7 Boston College this Saturday, beginning at 1 p.m. PT at Aztec Lacrosse Field.
