SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State lacrosse team plays host to Detroit at 7 p.m. PT Tuesday in a non-conference game at Aztec Lacrosse Field.

The Aztecs (2-2) are coming off an 11-10 victory over Saint Mary's on Friday night, while the Titans (0-3) were edged by the same 11-10 score to the Gaels on Sunday at Aztec Lacrosse Field.

On Friday night, Meris Walsh had seven of SDSU's 11 goals, including four straight over a span of 6 minutes, 19 seconds that gave San Diego State its biggest lead of the game at 6-3. Walsh also had a game-high 12 shots and scored on two of her five free position opportunities. For her efforts, she was named the MPSF Player of the Week earlier today.

On the season, Walsh leads the Aztecs in goals (13), points (13), shots (31), shots on goal (22) and free-position goals (4). Sophie Koubek (seven goals, one assist) and Bailey Ewing (five goals, three assists) each have eight points, while Christina Ricciardulli has won nine draw controls and has eight ground balls. Isabelle Pickett also has nine draw controls, while Lauren Paul has matched Ricciardulli with eight ground balls.

Sammy Slattery has played all 240 minutes in net and has 45 saves and a 14.00 goals against average.

Detroit's 11-10 loss to Saint Mary's on Sunday came after two setbacks the weekend before in Florida to Florida and Jacksonville. Corina Mahorn leads the squad with four goals, while Anna Eidem, Zaynib Hamze and Tessa Keuler have three goals and an assist apiece. Brittany Busch had nine ground balls, and Eidem and Emily Boissonneault each have nine draw controls.

Lexie McCormick has logged the majority of the playing time in net and is 0-3 with a 17.59 goals against average over 177:25.
