Women's Soccer Adds Pair to 2016 Roster
Aug. 18, 2016
SAN DIEGO - San Diego State women's soccer has added a pair of freshman to its program in time for the 2016 campaign. Caroline Galdorisi and Eden Kawabe arrived on campus earlier this month and are set to compete this season.
Galdorisi hails from Northport, N.Y., and traveled west to join the Aztecs' goalkeepers. A graduate of Kings Park High School, Galdorisi played four years of varsity soccer and was an all-league selection for the Kingsmen. She chose San Diego State after being recruited by Fordham, Nova Southeastern and Trevecca Nazarene.
Kawabe, meanwhile, left her home in Mililani, Hawaii, for America's Finest City. She helped Mililani High School to an Oahu Interscholastic Association championship. An all-state player and valedictorian, Kawabe joined the Aztecs after being recruited by many schools such as North Carolina and Santa Clara.
The duo joins an SDSU program that has won seven of the last eight Mountain West trophies, including the last four regular-season titles, and is picked to defend its championship for the fifth year in a row.
The Aztecs open the 2016 season on Friday when UCLA visits SDSU Sports Deck at 7 p.m. PT. Admission is free and the game will be streamed live on GoAztecs.com via the Mountain West Network. The first 250 fans will receive an Aztec flag.
