Amber Grahlman brings her Aztec playing experience to a coaching position in 2004 as undergraduate assistant coach.

A former SDSU catcher, Grahlman's duties include assisting Aztec catchers with their technique and training and helping coach the other facets of softball to team members. She also will act as video coordinator and as a liason between the players and the coaches.

Grahlman played her first two season at Cal State Northridge prior to coming to San Diego State for the 2002 and 2003 campaigns. She played in 81 games and started 73 and had three hits and the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning in SDSU's upset of No.4 Michigan, 2-1, at the 2003 Campbell/Cartier Classic.

Grahlman is majoring in social science with plans to teach and coach. She is due to graduate in May 2003.
