Overall, Thompson posted a .267 average (40-for-150) with six home runs, 19 RBIs, 27 runs, seven doubles, a triple, 12 walks, seven times hit by pitch and seven stolen bases, while recording a .447 slugging percentage, a .347 on-base percentage and a .944 fielding percentage ... Committed just eight errors in 223 chances at shortstop for a .964 fielding percentage ... Was the only Aztec to start all 49 games and one of just three to play in all 49 contests ... Among the all-time freshmen at SDSU, ranked second in assists (131), third in home runs (7) and OPS percentage (.990), and fifth in slugging percentage (.556) ...
