Swim & Dive Defeats USD 151-131 to End Regular Season

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State swimming and diving team defeated San Diego, 151-131, in a dual meet at the Aztec Aquaplex on Friday to conclude the regular season. The Aztecs finish the 2017-18 dual meet schedule with an 11-1 record and now look towards the 2018 Mountain West Championships on Feb. 14-16 in San Antonio, Texas.

The Aztecs grabbed each of the top three spots in both the 200 fly and 50 free, led by Vincent’s 2:04.87 in the 200 fly and Klara Thormalm’s 23.50 in the 50 free.
On the diving board, Alexandra Caplan brought home top honors in both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. Caplan posted a new season-best with a 352.65 in the 3-meter – just a shade below her school record of 359.65 set last season. All six of the diving scores in

The Aztecs await the aforementioned Mountain West Championships on Feb. 14-16. The Aztecs are looking for its fourth conference title in the last eight years and have finished in the top three of the event each of the last eight years.
