March 4, 2018

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's tennis team returns to the familiar confines of the Aztec Tennis Center when it hosts Furman University on Tuesday, March 6. First serve at Tuesday's match is set for 1 p.m.

With a 6-6 record, the Paladins make the cross-country trip following back-to-back wins vs. Emmanuel (Ga.), 6-1, and USC Upstate, 7-0. Furman's trip to America's Finest City marks the first match between the Paladins and the Aztecs.

Furman tennis travels from Greenville, S.C., to play a trio of matches on their Southern California road trip. Following the team's match vs. the Aztecs on Tuesday, the Paladins will travel across town to play an evening match against UCSD. The team is also scheduled to head north and play Long Beach State on Friday, March 9.

The Aztecs return home looking to bounce back after a challenging road slate where they dropped three straight matches to fall to 6-7 on the season. Last week, SDSU fell 4-0 to No. 33 ASU, and faced back-to-back losses in Honolulu to GCU (4-2) and Hawai'i (4-0) the weekend prior.

After the Aztecs host Furman on Tuesday, the team returns to the Aztec Tennis Center to welcome Saint Mary's on Saturday, March 10, at noon.
