SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's tennis team will travel north to take on No. 74 Fresno State Friday, March 28, at 10 a.m. The Aztecs are on a two-match win streak heading into their second competition of the week.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 6-1 win over Denver Thursday, lifting their season record to 8-8. The Bulldogs boast one nationally ranked singles player in No. 70 Sophie Watts and one ranked twosome in No. 80 Aishwarya Agrawal and Claire Young.

Last year, SDSU edged Fresno State, 4-3, in a neutral-site contest. San Diego State fell early in doubles play but rallied in singles action as Michela Casanova forced a three-set victory in the final match of the day, clinching the overall win for the Aztecs.

SDSU dominated Boise State at home on Tuesday, 7-0. The Scarlet and Black proved too much for the Broncos as it took the doubles point and swept BSU in singles competition. The match against Boise State opened league play for the Aztecs (1-0) and brought them to 7-9 on the season. Senior Laura Antonaña Iriarte's continued success on the courts bumped her up in the national rankings to No. 35.

San Diego State hopes to continue its win streak as it looks for another victory this week over Fresno State. SDSU will then return to The Mesa for a four-match homestand, beginning with Nevada on Friday, April 4.
